Virginia Beach City FC Gives Up Five Goals in Home Loss vs FC Baltimore

May 29, 2021 (NORFOLK, Va.) — In Virginia Beach City FC’s third home match of the 2021 season, the Boys in Blue fell to FC Baltimore Christos 5-0 at Old Dominion University’s Powhatan Field.

Virginia Beach City FC played a tough first half, allowing just one goal in the fifth minute. FC Baltimore pushed ahead in the second half, thanks to two goals by Alejandro Arbaelaz.

VB City FC played Saturday’s match without 2019 Golden Glove winner CJ Coulson, who picked up a red card in the club’s win over FC Frederick on May 22. VB City FC newcomer Charlie started in Coulson’s place at keeper.

The two clubs meet again on June 5, as VB CITY FC will try to settle the score. FC Baltimore will host VB City FC at 7 p.m. at Marriotts Ridge High School in Mariottsville, Md.
