Virginia Beach City FC Pick Up Their First Win on the Road against FC Frederick

May 22, 2021 (NORFOLK, Va.) — Virginia Beach City FC earned their first win of the 2021 season on Saturday night, winning a hard-fought 2-1 match vs. FC Frederick at Urbana High School in Ijamsville, Md.

The win gives VB City FC four points through the season’s first three matches.

VB City FC allowed a goal in the 18th minute on a cross into the box, but the boys rebounded to tie the game in the 40th minute on Trevor Knight’s second goal of the season. VB City FC veteran Jesse Miralrio bagged the winning goal with a chip outside the box in the 62nd minute to push VB City FC ahead.

Virginia Beach City FC won despite losing keeper CJ Coulson to a red card before halftime. Coulson will miss VB City FC’s next match again FC Baltimore Christos.

VB City FC’s match vs. Christos is scheduled for Sat., May 29 at 6 p.m. It is Virginia Beach City FC’s third home match of the season and second match played at Powhatan Field on Old Dominion University’s campus.
