February 21, 2018

VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA (February 21, 2018) – Virginia Beach City FC and Adidas announced on Wednesday the extension of their long-term partnership through 2021.

The four-year contract makes Adidas the official supplier of Virginia Beach City FC.

In addition to apparel and branding, this agreement emphasizes additional investment from Adidas into youth soccer development. VB City FC Academy will have access to the Generation Adidas Platform which pulls from resources around the world, tailoring them to fit the needs of strategic Adidas US youth soccer club partnerships.

The Generation Adidas Platform is specifically designed to provide support in areas of club evolution, coach education and player development through sustainable programming.

VB City FC Academy players and teams will also have access to entry into Adidas partner tournaments.

The Generation Adidas program has helped produced soccer talents Clint Dempsey, Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley, along with MLS mainstays like Dax McCarty and Darlington Nagbe.

"Virginia Beach City FC has collaborated with Adidas since the inception of the club," said Virginia Beach City FC Owner, Steven Wagoner. "We are thankful for the positive relationship we have built together and are excited to work with Adidas on innovative concepts to continue building the game in Hampton Roads."

Last year Adidas made their largest-ever investment in North American soccer, signing a six-year contract on August 2, 2017 to become the official supplier for Major League Soccer, its clubs, MLS youth academies and youth affiliated clubs.

Adidas first partnered with Virginia Beach City FC when the club was formed in 2013 as a semi professional expansion club in the National Premier Soccer League.
