Academy (Ages U8-U19)
Hampton Roads Soccer's Virginia Beach City FC Academy offers a Year Round developmental and identification program for the age groups U8 to U19, Boys and Girls.
Program Highlights:
- Official Hampton Roads Soccer Affiliate of D.C. United
- Season tickets to Virginia Beach City FC Home Matches in 2021
- Member club of top recognized National, Regional and local leagues
- Proven curriculum focused on player and team development
- Professional licensed coaches with continued in-house coaching education
- Premier Facilities including turf fields with lights and Bermuda fields with lights
2020 Player Highlights:
2020 – Former player, Samuel Jones, Earns First US U17 National Team Cap (Appearance) – Current Philadelphia Union Academy Player of MLS
2020 – Robbie Dambrot and Shane Wiedt Signed with Loudoun United of USL Champinship
2020 – Robbie Dambrot and Shane Wiedt called up to start for D.C. United and earned starting 11 roster spot with Wayne Rooney
2020 – ODP Player Selections – National and Regional Pool
2020 – Division I, II, III college soccer selections
Program Details:
Fall and Spring
- 3 training sessions per week
- Regional league play in USYS National League through EDP or local league play in VSLI
Winter
- 2 training sessions per week
- Optional Futsal training program (Fee not included)
Summer (NEWLY Included in Academy Membership)
- Summer Academy Pro Experience – Run in parallel with our minor league team for boys and girls
- Access to all Virginia Beach City FC Home Games
- Up to 12 training sessions replicating our first team environment including sessions run by our First Team Head Coach and Pro players
- Connection with D.C. United featuring training session with D.C. United Academy Staff and club night at Audi Field.
Tournaments
- Access to Club Hosted Trident Cup – Free entry for all Virginia Beach City FC Teams
- One non club tournament selected by and paid for by the club
Holiday and Planned Breaks
- Our Academy is a year round program with schedules breaks around public school calendars, holidays, developmental soccer breaks and end of the season play. Our planned breaks are distributed by the club to each team in August.

- Norfolk Collegiate School, Norfolk, VA - Two (2) lighted artificial turf fields.
- Cap Slade Cutter Park
Alternate
- Centerville Park, Chesapeake VA - Eleven (11) Bermuda grass fields
- Princess Anne Park, Virginia Beach VA - Eleven (11) Bermuda grass fields
- Deep Creek Park, Chesapeake, VA - Four (4) Bermuda grass fields, two lighted.
Inclusive Program Cost – Club Membership
Non Inclusive Costs – Team and Player Expenses:
- Uniforms ordered separately through soccer.com. The club operates on a two year cycle.
- Coaches travel expenses greater than 150 miles. Per Diem + Hotels to be paid by team
- Additional tournaments beyond the included Club Membership tournament
