VIRGINIA BEACH FC TO HOST FIRST TRYOUT FOR NPSL 2025 SEASON

Norfolk, VA (October 1st, 2024) –  Virginia Beach City FC is set to hold its first tryout for the 2025 NPSL season on December 7-8th, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Norfolk Collegiate Field #2. Aspiring players are encouraged to register for the event through the provided link. 

Head Coach João Downs, a former Virginia Beach City FC player and Costa Rica U-15 National Team member, expressed his excitement about scouting new talent with the soccer scene thriving in the 757 area, hopeful for a strong turnout. “The soccer landscape continues to grow in the 757 area, so hopefully, we get a good turnout at tryouts and we can recruit more local talent,” João shared.

The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season typically runs from May through July and features over 90 teams across the United States. It provides a competitive platform for amateur and semi-professional players, including college athletes and former professionals. As a prime ground for emerging talent, the NPSL offers players exposure to higher levels of competition and opportunities to advance their soccer careers.
