March 26, 2020

NORFOLK, Va (Mar. 22, 2020) — Based on no new updates from the CDC and our governing bodies for soccer – USYS, VYSA and USASA - we will plan to suspend all soccer activities through this week, Sunday, March 29, 2020. We will continue to reevaluate the suspension of soccer activities on a weekly basis.

Our digital training programs launched last week for our membership and we have had a lot of positive feedback! Parents, players, fans and the Hampton Roads community can find these sessions on our social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Tik Tok. Players should continue to implement these training programs at home and in a safe environment. It is fun and also inspiring to see other players in the club performing these soccer activities at home. Please plan to share your videos with our social media platforms so we can share with our soccer community, We’ll plan to continue our digital programs this coming week.

We are also planning ideas for small group training with no contact to be implemented as a first step when it is safe to resume soccer activities. We will have more info on this soon.

Virginia Beach City FC is appreciative of your understanding and continued support. Stay Safe!

Thanks!
